Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
The image depicts a colorful mural on a window, featuring a cartoon-like character wearing a crown and holding a scepter. The mural is surrounded by various framed artworks or posters displayed in the window. The background shows a snowy outdoor scene through the window.

Ms. Wicklund’s first grade students expressed their hopes and dreams for the future through meaningful works of art. Throughout the school, students learned about the life and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., honoring his powerful message of equality, justice, and service. Through reflection, discussion, and creative expression, they explored the impact of Dr. King’s words and actions, recognizing how his dream continues to inspire positive change today.
